A job that drives you to drink [Jun. 25th, 2005|12:18 am]
[mood | exanimate]
[music |Hum of a compter screen]

I work hard at my job, and I'll admit that I could use some improvement in some areas. Who couldn't? Then out of no where, I have a serious accusation brought against me.

DRINKING ON THE JOB!

It all started Tuesday. I went over to a friends house, on my lunch break, to make sure she was alright. Her Gran had just passed away, and I wanted to be the shoulder she cried on. As my Thirty minutes quickly ran out, another friend dropped by. I jokingly offered him a drink from the "Buffet" of alcohol a 21-year-old collects over the first few weeks. Off I sped back to work, dry and sober. Towards the end of the work day, I was feeling rather happy, because it meant that I'd be seeing my friend again. I did something I'm probably going to regret for a long time.

I WAS NICE!

Now being nice isn't something new for me, quite the opposite. I love people on the whole with certain exceptions for idiots. I just so happen to work with one of these idiots. I've given him chances in the past, seconds and thirds. Each time, becoming more and more cross with this individual. I'm an advocate for telling people exactly how I feel about them in most situations, and I let this guy know any chance I got. Now that you know the back story...

BACK TO THE REAL STORY!

So I was nice to this bottom feeding reject. With an evening ahead of seeing my boo(I hope I used this correctly, the doctors diagnosed me with White Boyism), I said good night to him in pleasant gesture. Now that, coupled with the playful drinking jokes of earlier, have come back to haunt me as it is rumored that I in-fact drank while comforting my friend.

This might come to a surprise, but when I drink I act... goofy. I know, I know, it appears alcohol messes with your head some how. Well for those of you who have seen me even a little tipsy (I'm talking to you Ash) you'd know that I probably could operate a deadly piece of machinery such as a Meat Slicer. This alone should be proof. But I will have my argument heard, and an apology better be given. So the moral of this story is

DON'T BE NICE TO STUPID PEOPLE

or

DON'T GET DRUNK ON LOVE.

Did I mention that I'm drinking while I write this? Thank you spell check.

The person who taught me how to drive. [Mar. 8th, 2005|07:57 pm]
[mood | sleepy]

The Aztec

It was March 6, 2002... I was sitting in my Drama class when I was called up to the office. I saw my uncle, talking to a teacher. Confused, I inquired about his being there. He told me everything was alright and not to worry. My mother was just in a car accident, and had to be taken to the hospital. Ever trustful of my uncle I took his word, and he drove me to see her. She was a little bruised, her chest hurt from the seat belt. She had been talking to my brother on her cell phone, and had become quite angered. She didn't see the red light, but she saw the car she t-boned. They wanted to run some test and make sure everything was alright... They were, but her car was totaled.

The Baha

It was March 6, 2003... I was a sitting at home, and received a call from my mother. It had was my mother. Wanting to start a new tradition, she was in another accident. This time she rear ended a truck with a trailer hitch. The hitch went through the bumper but all was well. The car made it.

Later that December, while driving home from her boyfriends house at night she hit a patch of black ice. As the car skidded this way and that, she managed to bring it over to the side of the road, as it came to rest on it's side. Yes, she some how figured a way to flip a four-wheel drive car, in common conditions, but a woman who can kill silk flowers can do anything. The car was totaled.

The Element

March 6, 2004... a good day

March 6, 2005... a good day

March 8, 2005... I was just at work today, a slow windy day. "Deli call on Line 1, Deli call on line 1!" "Erik you have a call on Line 1, Erik Line 1!" The loud speaker blared overhead. I answered and it was my dear mother wanting me to guess who had just gotten into an accident... She had the right of way because she had a solid green light with a blinking yellow (the insurance rep had never heard of that either, but only red means stop). She proceeded along with caution, when the women with the blinking red light (blinking red light means to treat it as a stop sign, for those non-drivers) failed to yield and pushed my mom's car into the other lane of traffic. She hit a car head on, but the most damage was done to her car. Her's was the only one that had to be towed, the other two cars simply drove away after the police report. The car is still being assessed.

Some times it's good to make donations [Mar. 5th, 2005|06:13 pm]
Cousin Erik: Oh, btw, i found a mgs2 manual while cleaning yesterday

Ashura ou: Oooh.

Ashura ou: Can I have it? I'll be your best friend. Unless you want it.

Cousin Erik: Aren't you already my best friend?

Ashura ou: Well, yes.

Ashura ou: But.

Ashura ou: Your continued support keeps Brady on the air.

Ashura ou: A donation of a MGS2 manual doesn't qualify for the tote bag, though.

Caution: May cause defatting of the skin. [Mar. 5th, 2005|01:01 am]
[mood | accomplished]

My cousin is attempting to start her own business. She wants to be a professional organizer, and while I don't know how great of a need there is for one, I do know she does an amazing job. She needed some Before and After pictures, so she asked if we could organize my kitchen for free in exchange for them. Now this is no easy task. I have cabinets that I haven't been through, much less opened in the last 10 years. I had to store pots and pans on the counter, tupperware was so piled up so much that it spilled from the cabinets. I needed help. That's where Bonnie, my cousin, came in. She came by yesterday to go over what needed to be done, to make up a check of supplies, and take some Before pictures. She gave me some really good ideas on how to make my kitchen seem new without spending a lot of money. Which brings us to today. We spent the better part of 6 hours going through everything and deciding what I wanted to keep, throw away, and donate to charity. In the process we found Industrial Strength cleaner. It was so strong that you had to dilute it to use it. For example: Windows were at a 120 to 1 ratio; Aircraft was at a 5 to 1 ratio. WTF!? That's right, AIRCRAFT. One of the warnings was that if it came into contact with your skin, it could cause defatting, because it would dry out the natural oils the body produces. I decided to use rubber gloves for that, and hoped it didn't eat through. All the cabinets are cleaned now, and I have all this room I never knew I had. Now all I have to do is wash all the dishes before I put them back, not a hard task, but a long and tedious one.

For all of you who live in the Maryland area I suggest you go to Bonnie's Website, Calming Chaos. It's still under construction, but I hope it will update soon, and if you want to contact the organizer herself you can reach her at bclark@calmingchaos.com. She is a really pleasant person and who wants to help you.

Why I'm eating pizza for Lunch/Dinner for the next 2 days. [Feb. 28th, 2005|12:13 am]
[mood | sick]

My mom commented to her boyfriend that it would have been nice to have pizza for the Academy Awards tonight. The problem was that she didn't have the money to waste on pizza. So around 8 o'clock she gets a call from her boyfriend saying that he ordered pizza, ant that it should be there any minute. 8:30 rolls by... no pizza. 8:45... no pizza. She calls up her boyfriend, who calls up Papa John, and Papa John said that there was some kind of screw up and that they'll send out a new pizza. In the meantime, the first pizza comes at 9:00, and then the second comes at 9:45. Now the second pizza was free, and the price of the first one was refunded.
Also worked sucked ass.

How Katsucon gave me a bad touch. [Feb. 21st, 2005|01:08 am]
[mood | annoyed]

This past weekend has been one of bad planning, and much anger. I am talking of course about my trip to Katsucon.

Due to waiting till the last minute to book a room, Brady and myself were left with having to stay in a hotel on the other side of town. This inconvenience, however, was dampened by the nice people at the Metro System. So after hoping 2 Subways (I was disappointed not to see Jared), we now find ourselves in the bowels of the hotel, deep underground. As we wandered through the maze of subterranean shopping and school style food courts, we came upon the registration line. Brady went ahead to find the con Chairman, Richard "Pocky" Kim, for his Industry badge. I have to admit that I'm a little jealous that he gets to get into conventions for free, but not this year. I filled out my form, handed it to the guy and he gave me a badge, a bag of info and told me to enjoy the convention. It wasn't till I had already left that I realized that I had forgot to hand over my Fifty dollar registration fee... Oops. We meet up with Brady's cool friend Shadra D, and wait for Greg Ayres' panel to start. Next was an autograph session that was stretched from an hour to three. The boredom on my part was slightly filled when Greg through a Super Gals beach ball. I found this funny because almost the entire convention was populated by people picked last in gym class, and there awkward motions were evidence of this. Finally off to dinner with Brady, Shadra D, Greg, Monica, and about 12 more people we were not introduced to. Chili's was very gracious to accommodate us so close to closing. I feel the best part of dinner was meeting a really cool guy named George. He helped us with some inside info on the sub lines. And that was the end day one.

When I heard that the convention was being held in two hotels I was excited... then reality struck in. Yes, it was in two hotels; No, the two hotels were not connected; Yes, we had to cross a three lane road in the cold winter night to go to the Video Rooms and 2 Panels that couldn't keep their scheduling straight. This hotel was also under some remodeling and had drywall up as impromptu hallways to direct us away from the large fabrics concealing the construction areas, and shuffle us to the over-crowded and cramped artist alley. I can't believe that they charged people money to shove them in a corner of a shit hole. The rest of the Weekend was kind of a blur of a drunken Rave and boredom.

All-in-all, this has been my worst convention ever, I hope they can have better planning for next year. I would petition to get my money back, but... you know.

Concert [Dec. 20th, 2004|12:13 am]
[mood | complacent]
[music |Derailed by Hilikus]

So I went to my friend's band, "Hilikus", in concert but before they could go on another band, "Jeph's Revenge", was playing. There were about 50 ppl there and I was just standing watching this cool band. I wasn't there 5 minutes when this cute girl comes up and grabs my hand. She starts to right on it, but it's too dark for me to read it. She finishes, gives me a smile and goes back to her friends in the crowd. The song comes to an end, and the lights come on to switch the bands. This is my chance to read the note on my hand. It says "HI! How r u? u look sexy". I looked around to thank her and introduce myself, but she was no where to be found. All for the best I guess, she was probably too young anyway. My friend's band was awesome and you should check out there site. Good luck guys on Thursday.

Few and far in between [Nov. 13th, 2004|12:13 am]
y poor saving habits are probably the biggest cause of my depression, but I've looked into a financial adviser.

Dink: (Very British) Hello.

Hopefully being on an allowance will help, and also being back to my full 46 hour week, will be good as well.

So a lot has happened in the last few weeks. The biggest thing in my life right now has to be my new Girlfriend. Her name is April, and she's my little Sugar Muffin. We've been making everyone sick with our lovey-dovey kiss and spontaneous makeout sessions. I've really fallen hard for her. Les see... all in all, besides the really great sex... Nothing really new. But I'll keep you posted on non-relationship stuff.

Sleepless night [Oct. 22nd, 2004|04:11 am]
[mood | depressed]

Last night on my drive home I received some disturbing news. A friend's, sister's, boyfriend's, co-worker said that a girl I went to high school with had died. She was the sweetest girl I could ever know. Always chipper, always with a smile. They said it was a brain aneurysm. I was never really close friends with her, but I still feel uneasy. The benefit to youth is to feel invulnerable... I'm not feeling too young right now.

First Entry again [Oct. 14th, 2004|12:19 pm]
[mood | hungry]
[music |An actual Cricket Chirping]

Cousin Erik: Hi everyone, you might remember me as %(^!&2347... Um what's the problem here?

::Techie and Cousin Erik whispering::

Cousin Erik: Well that doesn't seem so bad. Like I was saying before this is my "first entry" because it's under a new screenname. I want to officially apologize to my friend dink for worrying him. You see we went Ice Skating last night, and after getting lost going there and on the way back, we didn't get home till 11:30ish. We then proceeded to blockbuster and watched 2 really good comedies "Envy" and "American Sweethearts". Those finished up around 3:30 and I was completely exhausted. I would have spent the night over dink's, but I enjoy the comfiness of my blankey too much. Dink wanted me to IM him when I got home, but it takes a good 5 minutes for my computer to boot, so I just passed out on the couch. But rest assured I am not dead in a ditch. Now back to Ice skating, I think I can sum it up in one word: Funbuthurts. Not much more going on that I can remember right now.

E.

PS. Read the first reply to see the conversation between me and my techie.
